Petrol and Diesel prices likely to rise again in
Pakistan Tomorrow

It is proposed to
increase the price of petrol by Rs 10 per liter and
diesel by Rs 30 per liter from 12 noon between June 15 and 16.

The price of petrol
and diesel may go up again tomorrow. According to the report of Jang newspaper, between June 15 and 16 in Pakistan, the price of petrol will
go up by Rs 10 per liter and the price of diesel by Rs 30 per liter.
Earlier, Finance Minister Muftah Ismail had said that no subsidy would be given
on petrol and diesel.

Talking to Geo News
program 'Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada', he said that the prices of petrol and
diesel would be in line with the international market. Muftah Ismail said that
if the IMF program was not received, there was no choice but to default.

hinted at an increase in the prices of petroleum products.

Talking to private
TV channel Dunya News, Muftah Ismail said that OGRA has proposed to increase
the price of diesel by Rs 55 and petrol by Rs 28-30. The
Finance Minister also hinted at imposing petroleum levy and said that petroleum
levy would be gradually increased. We will start from
Rs. 5 and by the end of the year we will have collected up to Rs. 700 billion
in petroleum levy, which will reduce our budget deficit.

Earlier in his budget
speech, the finance minister said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had
decided to protect the low-income group in view of the high cost of petroleum. Therefore, on his direction, it has been decided to provide Rs. 2,000
monthly assistance to families earning less than Rs. 40,000 per month,
effective June 2022.
